Rabbits are mammals in the family Leporidae of the order Lagomorpha, also known as bunnies.

According to biological classification, they are belonging to the:

Kingdom: Animalia

Phylum: Chordata

Class: Mammalia

Order: Lagomorpha

Family: Leporidae

Rabbits have long tubular ears (the length of the ear is several times the width of the ear), a short tufted tail, and muscular hind legs that are much longer than the forelimbs. There are 43 species in 9 genera.

Habitats:

East Asia, South Africa, Africa, and North America has the most species, and a few species are distributed in Europe and South America. Some species are widely distributed or have been introduced to many regions, while many species are very limited in distribution. Terrestrial is more common in deserts, desertified grasslands, tropical forests, steppes, and forests or woods.

Habits:

Sudden Startle - When there is a sudden noise, it will immediately be alert or run away quickly. They will panic when they suddenly make a noise or smell or see strangers, dogs, cats, snakes, mice, insects, etc. Seeking to abscond to avoid the enemy.

Its home generally has many holes to avoid enemies. In winter they return only along their own tracks.

Rabbits like to eat grass. Rabbits raised in general households should pay attention to the provision of food because young rabbits do not feel full. Vegetables are not recommended for young rabbits because they are prone to enteritis, and they can be provided properly after they are adults.

Rabbits are divided into young rabbits and adult rabbits. They are fed in the morning and evening twice a day. If you encounter the situation of changing the brand of food, it needs to be transitioned, and it cannot be replaced directly, which will cause the rabbits to be unsuitable and uncomfortable. Young rabbits are rabbits of 1 to 6 months, and adult rabbits are rabbits of more than 6 months.

Food:

Concentrated feed mainly provides rabbits with daily energy, protein, and fat, followed by minerals and amino acids.

Roughage mainly provides the daily crude fiber, followed by protein, amino acid, and so on. Forages of different families have different nutritional components and palatability.

Succulent feed (that is, what we call vegetables and fruits and some rhizome plants) should be kept hygienically. Rabbits like to eat juicy feed, such as cabbage, lettuce leaves, carrots, and parsley. Mainly provide daily vitamins, water, and so on. Different vegetables and fruits have different nutritional components, but the content of vitamins is generally equal to or higher than that of forage.
