The mascot of the Paris Olympics

The mascot of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games will be named Phryges. The Phryges is an anthropomorphic representation of the traditional French Phrygian hat. In the "Smurfs" cartoon, the Smurfs wear Phrygian hats.

The two Phrygies represent the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 2024 Paris Paralympics respectively. The Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games will use the same mascot image, but with slightly different details.

According to the organizing committee, the main body of the mascot is triangular in shape. The color scheme is mainly red, supplemented by blue and white. This also coincides with the three colors of the French flag.

The emblem of the Paris Olympic Games and the five-ring logo are printed on the chest of the mascot of the Paris Olympic Games, while the mascot of the Paralympic Games has changed the five-ring logo to the logo of the International Paralympic Committee. In addition, another difference between the two mascots is that the Paralympic mascot has a "leg" designed as a prosthetic.

The chairman of the Paris Olympic Organizing Committee said: "For the Olympic movement, mascots are a very important part. They closely connect the games with the people and create a good Olympic atmosphere and a grand festival atmosphere inside and outside the stadium, which is a great value.”

The organizing committee introduced at the scene that they hope that through this mascot, they can convey the belief that sports have the power to change everything. It is hoped that in the process of human development, sports can play a greater social value.
